1.    How does studying at Accounting and Auditing Faculty like?

As the nature of Vietnam National University is a pioneering, leading the training and studying activities, therefore, the teaching programs of Accounting and Auditing Department - University of Economics were built in order to ensure the general regulators of the Ministry of Education, as well as of Vietnam National University being strictly followed. Besides that, our teaching program takes into account the needs of society and the course structure of some reputed universities in the world such as Sydney University (Australia), Monash University (Australia), Massey University (New Zealand) to establish the greatest learning materials for students... Moreover, there are some ‘unique’ accounting subjects which are only offered by University of Economics. These subjects are designed to enhance students getting closer to reality and intensive researching for instance "Audit project", “The Current Accounting Issues", etc.

Active teaching methods: Teaching and learning are organized based on credit point program which enables students to actively arrange and schedule their time. Teaching method is also one of the most exciting contents of Accounting and Auditing Faculty as students not only listen to lecturers but also participate in class discussion, presentation, study, team work, and involve in the discussion, workshop, case study, and thematic talks with experts from many reputed business.... Besides that, Accounting and Auditing faculty also provides many highly applicable units such as "Tax Accounting", “Accounting on practice”, etc. These subjects are flexibly organized, and students are provided a specialized software, work in imitated exercise.

Scientific research for students: besides learning, our faculty also facilitates the scientific research for students. Students of Accounting and Auditing faculty are encouraged to participate in scientific research, all the lecturers will support students in accessing the information, and researching methods, etc. Also, providing for students ‘R-talk’ which is an important program which enable students to share and approach the researching methods. The evidence for the effectiveness of this activity is that the number of students joining in the scientific research annually keeps increasing and many researching groups have won top prize in the faculty level and university level.

Besides learning at class, during the semester, students are also provided many opportunity to regularly meet the representative of businesses through school exercises as well as internship programs. Annually, Accounting and Auditing Faculty often sets up internship program associated with specialized activities for students. The internship program is organized logically, tied to our faculty's partners that are enterprises, audit firms. This creates the differentiates between learning at University of Economics and other education institutions.

Our tuition fee is strictly complaining with the general regulations of the Government. This means that Students learning at Accounting and Auditing Faculty is benefited from the low tuition fee and professional learning environment. Moreover, if gaining high academic achievement, students have many opportunities to obtain various scholarships of the University of Economics, as well as the Vietnam National University, and of the partner firms such as IMG Scholarship (current value is up to 60 million VND), Lotte Scholarship, Sacombank Scholarship, ACCA Scholarship, ICAEW Scholarship, Yamaha Scholarship, and other valuable scholarships.

With the advantage of studying at the University of Economics in general, and our faculty in particular, many students are employed by audit firms and other businesses right after the internship program. Besides that, students of our faculty also have opportunities to work at various organizations such as banking, securities companies. After graduating from our university, many students are employed at large enterprises such as Deloitte, Hung Vuong, SYM Vietnam. 

Besides learning, students at University of Economics in general, and our faculty in particular are very active in social and sport activities. There are many clubs, and social activities which are organized by students for example "The culture of UEB program", "The warm winter program", and other charitable activities.

Besides that, many specialized competitions are participated enthusiastically by students such as the competition of "Conquering the crowd of occupancy in the fields of Accounting and Auditing" established by our faculty and partners, "Financial Students Competition", "360 degree of economic development",etc. These competitions are not only playgrounds for students to show-up their ability but also opportunities for them to access the recruiters, and valuable scholarship opportunities.
